Same-Sex Love Is Beautiful!

Sadly, same-sex love generates an abundance of emotions in today’s society; from hate-to-violence, love, and romance. Moreover, same-sex love roots fear and tension. And in many instances, ignorance.

However, since 1865 when the term “homosexual” first manifested into the English speaking language, countless people have wrangled to eliminate this alliance from the face of the earth. Why? Is it because homosexuals possess the ability to interweave their creativity into a state of dominance that is unfamiliar and makes countless individuals uncomfortable?

Despairingly, the thought of two men kissing or hugging is considered an abomination to millions around the world. Yet same-sex love demonstrates a union of happiness as well as manliness. However, with the vile eruption of ridicule and ostracism surrounding this natural form of affection, many homosexuals have lost their will to feel happy about who they are.

However, the Greeks incorporated homosexuality in their culture as a “right of passage” for young boys, and many other cultures still practice this today. Yet many American’s continually rally and protest against the privacy rights of two men, who merely seek to engage in whatever activities they desire. I thought that is why the enactment of constitutional liberty was erected; to allow us the freedom to engage in activities besides physical movement.

I mean, the Supreme Court did rule that liberty means: not merely freedom from bodily restraint, but also the right of all individual’s to contract, to engage in any of the common occupations of life, to acquire useful knowledge, to marry, establish a home and bring up a child, to worship God according to their own consciousness, and generally enjoy those privileges long recognized as essential to the orderly pursuit of happiness, by all free men.

So actually how long will it be before America accepts this legal reality? On one hand we profess the importance of following the law, but on the other, we persecute those who defy it, especially when it suits our personal opinions regarding sexual orientation.

Therefore, isn’t it time we denounce our ignorance and rally for a better world that embraces everyone regardless of race, gender, educational develops, and all other issues that seem to bridge a gap between American born citizens? I mean, since many have overcome their religious intolerances and embraced other religious sects; we should be able to accept same-sex loving people, without questioning if it’s right or wrong.

After all, many things that were once wrong have become right, and things that were once right have become wrong. So it seems quite obvious to me, that in order for us to defeat other countries, we first need to learn how to relinquish our indifferences and embody a universal love that brings us all together.
